Customer Budget and Annual Update

Metropolitan Council Environmental Services hosts budget and annual update events to share preliminary rate information with our 111 customer communities, as well as to provide information on our capital program and our strategies for managing rate increases. We share customer feedback from these forums with the General Manager and leadership team of the Environmental Services division and the Met Council Environment Committee.

Virtual:

The virtual event was held on Thursday, June 4, from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

In-person:

The in-person event was held at the Metropolitan Water Resource Recovery Facility in Saint Paul on Tuesday, June 16, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. with a tour afterthe event from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

You may have noticed a shift in timing for this year’s annual meeting and our municipal wastewater charge notifications. We’re always aiming to improve our processes. This shift in timing will better position us to provide you with clearer usage data and charge information. Preliminary 2027 MWC and supporting calculations were sent to communities on June 3.
